Our main objective is to raise healthy, typey, well
adjusted cats with sweet temperaments. We want our cats to be confident as
adults, socialization is very important to us. Therefore, our babies will
be raised with much love and handled from the day they are born. They will
never be caged and will be raised underfoot. Once the kitten have had
their first shots and are old enough they will be introduced to the rest
of the cat family and have the run of the house. This is when the fun
starts! :-)
Mellokat Cattery is a
FeLV
negative cattery. Our kittens will have their vaccinations (except for
rabies) and will be checked by our vet before they leave for their new
homes. They will be not be allowed to leave before 13-16 weeks of age. We
believe this is in the best interest of the kittens. It allows them more
time to mature and develop, and to be with their mother and siblings for a
longer period of time. The kittens will go to approved homes only with a
*Sales Contract*
including a spay/neuter agreement and a health guarantee. We also send a
*Kitten Care Manual* home with all the babies. Our kittens are
not to be declawed
or
allowed outdoors.
